About True Crime: New York City
In Activision's game, players take on the role of Marcus Reed, a former gang member who has become a cop. As they explore the GPS-accurate streets of Manhattan, they will encounter subways, hundreds of interiors, internationally recognized landmarks, and real neighborhoods from Harlem to Chinatown to Times Square. Players can get around the city just like New Yorkers do, by taking cabs, riding subways, walking, and driving cars and motorcycles. The game features the sights and sounds of New York, with the energy and architecture of the city's diverse neighborhoods, the voices and likenesses of real New Yorkers, and the cacophony of ambient traffic and bustling noises unique to the city. Additionally, each neighborhood has its own character concentrations, such as tourists in Times Square and locals in Harlem.
